The exercise of civil rights is unrelated to the exercise of political rights which are
acquired and kept in accordance with constitutional and electoral statutes. Art. 8
...... Loses French nationality a French person who exercises the power to
repudiate that status in the circumstances referred to in Articles 18-1, 19-4 and 22
-3.
